Join us for the 2018 Floyd G. Henderson Big Band Weekend featuring two fabulous Big Bands performing at the ACCA Shrine Activity Center in Richmond’s historic Northside (1712 Bellevue Avenue ~ Richmond, Virginia 23227) over the weekend of June 8th and 9th.
On Friday, June 8th, 2018, enjoy the exciting sounds of Glen Boswick And The Sound Of Swing Orchestra – direct from Norfolk, Virginia. Glen and his swingin’ orchestra have been pleasing dancers since 1977. Featured vocalists are the fabulous Jimmy Crank and Trombonist Russ Robertson. Dinner will be served and a cash bar will be available. The orchestra performs from 8 PM – 11 PM. Doors open at 6 PM. Dinner is served at 6:30 PM.
On Saturday, June 9th, 2018, enjoy the Big Band sounds of Joe Enroughty And His Royal Virginians. The Royal Virginians are a Richmond, Virginia favorite performing in the classic Big Band tradition of Guy Lombardo, Sammy Kaye, Glenn Miller, and other popular Big Bands. Featured vocalists are Dick Orange and Deborah Leone singing classics from the great American song book. Dinner will be served and a cash bar will be available. The orchestra performs from 8 PM – 11 PM. Doors open at 6 PM. Dinner is served at 6:30 PM.
